Taiwan Getawat ( Part 2)

On the second day, we took the railway to Qiu Fen by our own.Minature of the railway train :)On the railway, you are allowed to eat and drink so many passengers buy food to enjoy during the ride. We had some time before our train arrive so we decided to have a drink at this tea shop, simply because we were attracted to the shop name - Come Buy , a direct translation from Chinese. After abt 1.5 hrs of travelling, we finally reached Jiu Fen. It is quite a scenic place with lots of rainfall as it is situation on top of a mountain. It was very windly and cold when we reached there. The Signature Old School Street at Jiu Fen.An old school tea house
Lots of yummy food can be found here... this is the red wine chicken dumpling.

Yam dumplings that are even better than the one we had in Shi Lin.

Grilled Monster Mushrooms that are so Q and fragrant.
Grilled shells.....
Fish and Meat balls that are so delicious that the 2 of us finished all of it.
Just look at the funny costumes..... ha ha ha haha
After dinner, we went to the famous taiwan 101 to enjoy the scenic view from this world's tallest building.
We went to see the damper, the stabliser to protect this tallest building in the world from shocks and winds. It is so impt that it even has a mascot for it.

This is the actual look. We took the world's fastest elevator to the top of taiwan 101......
It reached to the 89th storey and we had to walk by 3 storey to the 91st storey to go outdoors. We are 390m above the ground.

It is freaking cold outside... abt 8-9 degrees and we were freezing. But the view was magnificent......... To counter the cold, we went for supper at Raohe St Night Mkt :)
Yummy pork ribs in herbal based soup.... a nice treat to counter the coldness of the weather.

Some kind of bird like a pigeon that we saw and tried........
On day 3, we went to YangMing Shan in search of the cherry blossoms.... Before we went to see the flowers, we decided to stop at SiaoYou Keng to see the vocanic rocks.

Some hot volcanic water sipping out from the ground, some ppple are cooking eggs in boiling hot water.
Just look at the steam and you can imagine its temperature. The air was filled with a strong smell of sulphur as we walked nearer....

We then went in search for this waterfall in a hiking trek. We hiked for 1.1km uphill before we finally reached this waterfall. The air was extreme fresh as we were surrounded with a lushful rainforest. Ferns next to the waterfall...
A nice close upFinally, the lead actor arrived, the Cherry blossoms.......

Imagine the sight when you are surrounded in a park full of cherry trees in bloom. .....

We had a great time at YangMing Shan.......
After YangMing Shan, we went to the Yu Ren Ma Tou.... by ferry.
This is the famous lovers' bridge.

Ariel looks like a ancient princess in this white furry Mickey Hat......
Some other shots during the trip..... This one is an interesting sushi place. Conveyor belt sushi joints are no longer in trend, now.... they use trains instead.

This is the new Mao Kong Gondola that we took to enjoy the taiwan night scenery.

Ferris Wheel in Taiwan at Miramar Shopping Centre.

This all transparent capsule is not for the faint hearted.

Food we tried at the Miramar shopping Centre.......
I tried this BBQ Squid with pork in pepper sauce and udon noodles. The portion is huge, enough to be shared by 2.
Ariel's beef noodles.

The yummy Tou Hua combination....The love shaped fountain inside the shopping centre. We went to our last stop in Taiwan, Cheng Pin Bookstore that opens 24 hrs.
This famous Mosaic Art Gallery was featured in the travel show for taiwan in 07.
The Ferrari Outlet
Feng Tian and Kitty joint series of clothings

We saw this interesting Nike Outdoor display as we leave the Cheng Pin Bookstore for the airport. Cheng Pin Bookstore has lots of interesting stuff... i will definately be back here if i come to taiwan again :)
